How is resveratrol extracted?
1. Solvent extraction method: Solvent extraction method is one of the most widely used extraction methods at home and abroad. Commonly used solvent extraction methods mainly include three kinds: percolation method, extraction method and reflux method. Common solvents for reflux extraction of resveratrol include methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, etc. Among them, 60% to 90% ethanol aqueous solution is the most commonly used to extract resveratrol from the original plant. Other solvents are low in efficiency or relatively toxic. Larger, so it is rarely used. Zheng Keli and others used acetone as a solvent to extract resveratrol from Polygonum cuspidatum with a yield of 0.95%.
2. Enzymatic extraction Resveratrol exists in the form of resveratrol glycosides in many plants, which can be enzymatically hydrolyzed into resveratrol, and then free resveratrol can be extracted. Using this method can achieve higher yields, so some researchers have used enzymatic hydrolysis to extract resveratrol. At present, there are three sources of enzymes in enzymatic extraction: using plant autologous enzymes, adding external enzymes and inoculating microorganisms to produce enzymes.
3. Microwave extraction Microwave extraction is a method of rapidly increasing the temperature of plant cells after absorbing microwave energy in the microwave field, swelling and rupturing, which is conducive to extracting the effective ingredients in the plant. At present, this method is more commonly used in laboratory research. Li He et al. used microwave extraction technology to investigate the factors affecting the yield of resveratrol in Polygonum cuspidatum, and optimized the optimal extraction conditions: methanol or acetone as the solvent, extraction time 15 min, microwave power 800-900 W, and Polygonum cuspidatum particles 0.45~0.30 mm, of which the water content is about 20%. Lu Yan et al. used the microwave method to extract the 5 main active ingredients in Polygonum cuspidatum.
After taking 10 minutes, the resveratrol in the medicinal materials can be completely extracted.
